Bath Time

This is my first attempt at editing some video. He does most of his funny stuff before I can grab the camera, but I will record as much as humanly possible. Let me know if you cant see the video so I can try something different.

10 months 4 weeks

poxy boy having bath time - the poxy-ness didnt' seem to bother him
laughing with/at mum
Taken today this photo shows my boy just being his every day self - he was looking a the birds outside and just generally wandering about the house of his own accord.

We've had a lazy weekend, just relaxing with each other - watching some new house build shows on t.v, eating, making brownies and entertaining Jackson - or is it the other way around? He is following Brad around the kitchen at the moment while Brad tries to wack the flies that have come inside as I opened up all the windows this morning, now he is standing at the bin - he might be hungry. As it's almost 5pm I'll place money on it. So I'd best go find something (not from the bin) to feed my family. I could give them all brownies but child services might be watching - and the last thing I really want is hyper Jackson and a just a hyper Brad! In this short time it has progressed to Brad now stalking the last living fly like a caveman - as Jackson chews on a dirty sock - i love my family.

cute baby

kisses for dad . This photo is from about a month ago - Jackson was just a few days of 10 months.
Laughing with Dad
"helping" mum with the laundry - he just pulls everything he can get his hands on onto the floor.
Jackson at 10 months and 3 weeks. You can't really see but this is when Jackson was all poxy with spots - he always eats the flannel and I'm not too sure if I should be capturing this on film - but he seems o.k after multiple bubble eating episodes.
being a cute boy - he puts his cheek to his shoulder like this if he is playing shy - or sometimes if he thinks he is being cute - on this occasion he thinks he's cute - and well lets face it he is!

Perhaps, perhaps perhaps

Hey everyone - this morning I said goodbye to Brad at a 5am, he is off to Canberra AGAIN!

I had to drop into work today so it was lovely to find a dozen red roses there waiting for me (especially after the latest drama which I will explain in a minute) - Yes they were from Brad, so I pretty much floated around the office for a bit with a look on my face like the cat who got the canary.

To fill everyone in - last week both myself and Jackson had a slight case of Gastro - first me then him - when I had it he just layed next to me patting my head and giving me kisses - he has such a caring nature already shining through . Brad came home and walked into a wall of stinky farts - I tell you I never knew that smell could come out of a boy so small! or me!! Just as I thought Jackson was getting over it - he pooped all over Brad - diaper blow out I think is the term. poor Brad just called out from the couch "chhhhrriiissstttalllllll!". so after i showered off Jackson, and Brad threw out everything he was wearing - I was sure we were done with being sick. Then Jackson got a fever - so I took him off to the doctors to check him out - the conclusion was perhaps a virus but perhaps teething or perhaps the tail end of gastro - perhaps, perhaps perhaps. that word sounds so strange when you say it a few times. anway - back to my story - so brad comes home and now I have somewhere between the doctors and brad comming home gotten a rotten cold and i'm making the sound i make when I can't clear my nose - brad hates this sound - I think so does jackson. Jackson has also managed to get the mother of all bruises on his cheek from falling during attempt no. 2345 at trying to stand and walk. It failed miserably and set him on a collision course with the table leg. It all ended in tears.
then to top this past week off - ...
Jackson woke up this morning (after brad has gone) and I notice his head is a bit red - but I was in such a hurry to get out the house looking my professional best that I figured it was just a mild reaction to something - when I saw Mahind she suggest maybe we take a closer look and we checked out the rest of his body - covered in red dots!!! SHIT - i rush to the doctors and wait - but to my relief it is just a viral rash - which by this stage was 10 times worse than when at Mahinds. There is nothing I can do for my poxy boy - he just wants to sleep. and the doc says he'll be fine in a few days - but can't be around other kids. So i am in isolation at home - with my beautiful boy who today has a face only a mother could love.

Birthday fun

My friend Dina and her husband Preston celebrated their little girls 4th birthday today at the Boat Park near the waterfront. It was Jackson's first time to attend a birthday party! Dina is expecting a little boy in January and I am soooo excited for her. Since I joined Medicare we have become great friends - prone to cake eating on payday:)

Jackson with his treasure hunt find - his first water pistol!
He won the cutest boy prize - and totally deserved it :)
Getting ready for pass the parcel (he was too small to join in but watched intently)
I just wanted to show you all how precious he is every day - and this may be the last time I can get him into this cozy outfit which has now become - like most everything else - too short in the arms and feet! When I tell people he is 10 months there is always a lot of comment - the latest was "what a lump!" and from almost everyone then comes "how much does he weigh?" - God daddy Tim always says "what a unit!" which is a bit cute. I have always cooked at home for Jackson, and tend to add high caloric food such as marcapone cheese and almond meal to his oatmeal - because most books say to do this. however he eats like a machine - he nawed 3 peices of watermelon, a plate of egg and potato salad, a tub of stewed pears, a couple of hot chips and some chicken (yes it was from KFC but we were out and starving), half a banana with oat meal, and for dinner some fish in white cream garlic sauce - plus 3 bottles. and he will still act hungry if he sees you eating! so what am I to do? i have decided to include just fruit rather than oatmeal and cut out the cheese with his white sauce - i really just don't know why he is so huge! love to everyone.
