New this week

New this week is Jackson's keen interest in this dumb bell/rattle - He has really tried his little heart out to fit it into his mouth, drooling over it with gusto.

well i have nothing interesting to say, and I'm pretty sure everyone is mainly interested in the little man - untill next time - love to everyone xoxoxoxoChristal

Prison Issue

When I was out today, out being the main objective of everyday I am home - to get OUT. anyway - when I was out I came across a mother and her 5 week old who was sleeping peacefully - Jackson was sitting up in his stroller(with the back support of course) and was busy making googly eyes, checky smiles as well as babbling at me, when I informed other mother of Jackson's age she couldn't believe it - neither could my Chiropractor's receptionist, the Chemist, the woman behind me in line at the Chemist's or the hundreds (o.k maybe just 10 or so) other complete strangers I met today. o.K so the kid is big - now I am worried people are going to think he is slow for his age, when he is really just like every other 10 week old just a whole heap bigger.

In other news today Brad is ready to contact Child services on me due to the fact I have discovered Jackson LOVES the TV - where ever you sit him in his bouncer he tries to turn and watch the TV, even when being held by Brad or me he insists on having his eyes glued to the tube, at first we found this amuzing, then I discovered the magic of the TV as alternate child entertainment. We now have to turn the TV off so he pays us some attention, apparently we are not as entertaining as the nightly news and cooking shows.

Sumo Baby!

New this week - STANDING! He has got some serious muscles going on!
Check out my wingspan!
Brad is cleaning up one of Jackson's favorite past times - Spitting up
Is it just me or does my kid have like the longest arms ever?

what more can I say except this is one BIG BEAUTIFUL BOY!

Weekend fun

What Jackson would look like as a girl baby - too cute. This is one of two knitted outfits that I just love, very traditional. He was only around 6 weeks in this photo - no double chin as yet!
BUBBLES!
This is Tracy and her bub Maya - she is 7 months old and enjoys sucking face - they didn't bother with holding hands, it was straight to second base! It was Tracy's birthday and our good friend Zara's last day in Hobart before jetting off to Perth. We all enjoyed cooling off by the warf at Bellreive (across the bridge in Hobart) as it was one of the hottest days this summer, which was followed by yet another the next day. Our weather man must not have got the memmo that we moved here to get AWAY from the heat!
Glowing mumma to be Carolyn with her hubby Tim - our good friends who enjoy playing surrogate parents to Jackson. Notice Jackson gets the same look as Brad when outside in the heat - NOT HAPPY!

More pics

Splashing fun.
These are a few more pics that I wanted to show off (this is Christal blogging). He is getting too big for his bath, and prefers to swim about in a full bathtub like at Lollie and Gungy's house. He loves bath time and I often let him kick about on his back and then on his belly while he bobs up and down in the water. His bathtime follows his evening feed then he goes off to bed, he never settles right away, and prefers to play with his blankie and talk to the fairies for a while - this is too cute to listen too. He will then grizzle a bit - time for dummy - then he falls asleep. We still wake him for a late evening feed around 1o at night, although I'm sure Brad wont mind me telling you all that he actually fell asleep a few nights ago and FORGOT to feed the baby! He still slept untill 6 in the morning but was REALLY hungry then! :) Joy i'm sure does not believe us that our little 9 week old sleeps so soundly all through the night, and my dad (Gungy) thinks it is because we just don't hear him wake up as we are in another room, whatever the reason we are not complaining. We are just enjoying the peaceful nights, however I'm sure another growth spurt will come on in soon and all will change again.

Bob - I have to say that the Harding gene pool is just too strong for the Harris family - this little one is brown haired and definatly not blue eyed - Brad still holds out hope that his eyes are turning back to blue but I am not so sure. He is getting quiet a mane of chesnut brown hair that glows deep golden in the sunlight.

Randomly Organised

Its been over a week since the last post and even longer since the last pictures. These are my favorites of the past couple weeks in no particular order. He keeps us busy, but I wouldnt have it anyother way. Mahen (The wonderful lady who takes Jackson during the day) is an absolute blessing. We could not have found a better family to look after him when we arent around! Anyway, here he is...there is a really great shot of me in there too...

He is such a good boy. He has been sleeping through the night all this week!!!!!

Who keeps putting me in this squirrel shirt!! :)

Im learning to stand up already!

Showing off for the camera.

Again...

Happy Boy!!

I thought his eyes were going to be blue, then we thought they were turning green, now they are going back to blue? Who knows...he's a good looking boy nonetheless.

Keep checking back. He will be putting his own pictures up soon. He loves looking at the computer. Christal is teaching him English, Mahen is teaching him Persian...I am going to teach him C++!

Work

I will be returning to work when Jackson is 12 weeks old, i went for the interview for my GREAT job 4 days after the birth, I cried before I left. I am going to work to make sure our son can have a decent education, one day a home of our own to live in and decent food to eat. Brad and I have the next few years to try to pay off our debt, incured by education (nessesary) and stuff (not so nessesary) I want to be debt free by the time we are at least 31 - this is not including a home loan. Our trip to Germany will be very lean, no extra tripping about for us and I hope their is a Macca's nearby. Jackson will be minded by a loving family who mind 3 other children, so the homely aspect will not be missed. Mahin and her family are from Iran, they have 3 grown children of their own. The youngest is 14 and the most well mannered 14 year old I have ever met - the best reflection of the kind of morals and standard I hope Jackson to adopt. Brad and I instantly adored Mahin, and look forward to Jackson growing up with her as his main carer. Mahin's English is good, and is bound to improve the longer she lives in Australia, they have been here 3 years so far. Her husband is also lovely, and will be a co-carer. I am overall fairly excited about starting work again, I will be the Information Manager for the National Bowel Cancer Screening program and finally get to NOT wear a blue uniform!

Home Alone 2 - Continued from previous...

Heres the boy with Lollie

And heres the boy with Gungy

Jackson likes Gungy because he never makes him go to sleep. They just play, play, play all day!!

The rest of these pictures are just random smiles that I miss.

See you's next time!!

Home Alone 1

Christal and Jackson are still in Queensland. They are coming home early because I miss them and, more to the point, I am competly incapapble of taking care of myself. I must have slept through the part of my life where someone tried to show me how to iron a shirt. I can manage about one per day if I am forced into it, but I dont even bother with the pants.

Although, the reason Christal hasnt been posting pictures is because she didnt take her computer with her. This is the one which I set up nicely to do everything she needs. So I am good for something. She cant get rid of me yet.

Anyway, the real reson you are all here -->

Jackson just before he left on his first big trip. I like his dont bug me shirt. I want one to match.

Here he is again loving his mommy. Must be from America or it would say "Loving his Mum"!

One thing we have in common is that neither of us likes the sun or the beach. And yes, I know we live on an island.

Here he is loving his mum again. My two favorite people...

Giggles

First of many pictures to come. Having technical issues. Jackson is getting bigger by the day and today he did two new things - he hung onto a soft toy his great nana brought him and he started giggling! It is TOOOOOOOO CUTE!!!
