O.k so its been too long since my last post, feel slightly guilty for not keeping everyone in the loop but am happy to have had some sleep over this weekend. For the past 3 months Jackson has slept great - from around 6 :30 till 6 in the morning - all this time he has had BAD spit up. I went to my midwife, Kay, and my Doctor, Mira, who both said the same thing - i am overfeeding my baby. His poor tummy never got a rest and so he kept vomiting. so we cut back - for the past two weeks he has NOT SLEPT like he used too!!!! Every night we are up at least 3 times to a screaming baby! - I end up feeding him, hey I know when my bubba boo is hungry! some mornings his tummy is growling louder than mine! so we discover through my baby bible "on becoming baby wise" that he is probably having a growth spurt at this age - so we have increased the amount of TIMES he is feed rather than the AMOUNT in the feed, i have also started feeding him carrot and rice puree of an evening which he loves. So so much for reducing his feeds!!! But to my midwife and doctors credit he has stopped vomiting and spitting up so he can now wear an outfit all day without a bib!!! This is a major breakthrough!!!
Also he had his 4 month immunizations on Friday - Brad took him, and they both looked terrible when they arrived home - I think Brad needed more consoling than Jackson - Jackson had a reaction and was upset, fevered, with a rash at the injection site - today he has a whimpering cry consistent with general aches and pains - so we have kept up the pain relief and he is now fast asleep. when bubba boo isn't feeling well he snuggles on me and is very quiet - he is usually a very big talker.
No one will believe this but the biggest milestone is Jackson talking a lot - he says dad da - i know no one believes this but it is true - whenever Brad says "say dad da" he says it!
O.k so that is all the news on Jackson's little world - as for Brad and me - well we are both so busy with work we havn't had time to notice anything besides all of the above. I read Angie's blog as often as I can - so if your reading this Angie i think the blue is a refreshing colour and I wouldn't try to match it in with accent rugs/cushions - i would let it be separate - as I get overwhelmed when everything in the one room starts to look the same colour - it all blends too well and there is little excitement to the room. I would go with a large thick clear coffee table and a Persian rug, your paintings on the wall will then tie everything in together just perfectly! o.k thats my take on it.

Easter
Beach on one side and trees on the other - both brad and I were in our elements during our Easter camping trip to Bruny Island
o.k so this post is back the front - I'm tired and dont' have time to "*&* around with it. Just quickly Brad and I have both been so busy so we appologise for not e-mailing, calling, blogging or basically having any contact with humans - like I said - busy. Brad got a promotion to Buisness Analyst and is in Camberra ACT (capital of Australia) for his first day on the new job meeting with clients. I am flat out at work with one meeting after another trying to raise Program awareness among Health care professionals, and Jackson is adjusting to our crazy life. As you will read he has had a busy Easter, and tomorrow we hope to get something to help his reflux which is making his little life difficult and painful at times. so here goes! enjoy
The boys on Bruny Island for Easter
"wear did all the chips ahoy go?!" Jackson spent a good part of his day with the empty wrapper. I had previously spent almost 30 dollars on new chew/teething soothers and baby rattles - but he preferred the cookie wrapper. Nice.
Sitting by the fire, not having showered for 2 nights, spewed up on over my entire shoulder, coffee in hand and loving every minute of it. This was the most relaxed I've been since Jackson's birth.
The light is so beautiful in the morning among the gum trees and Jackson was just happy to be there with his dad, soaking up all the wilderness sounds and sights.camping - a word that has not been in my vocabulary since I was 15 due to my fear of snakes. It ended up being a fantastic trip, made all better with good friends Tim and Caz to share the camp site with. We were at Bruny Island for 3 days - no shower, no running water, no t.v no computers, no phones, just BEACH, TREES and US! It was just the best getting away from everything

Note the GIANT bibs - our son has a spit up problem that has turned a little more serious than most. He has begun projectile vomiting and is suffering from the dreaded reflux which is causing him pain, it is horrible to see his little face squish up due to the burning and awful taste - he also has "silent reflux" where he swallows it back down meaning it burns twice and makes him gag and cough. he is going to the doctors tomorrow afternoon to get some medicine as all the common sence things arn't working.
playing ride the horse with dad and loving it
Not happy after a vomit - my poor baby.

pictures pictures and more pictures!
Jackson figuring out that this button makes the music on his new entertainment centre extravaganza! (big red)Thanks Granny!
We really enjoy spending some time with friends, on Tuesday we were at Tim and Caz's for fish and chips and on Friday Kylie and Adam came over for pizza with their adorable children Brodie (pictured here trying to get away from Jacksons prying paws - notice his hand on her leg!) and Dakoda (? spelling) who is a great big brother! We were in the same birth class and have enjoyed going through new baby trials and tribulations together. Brodie is such a little girl, so quiet and polite and smiling, Jackson on the other hand is LOUD (Harding gene comming through strong!)
Cute boys
Loving being in big red!It has been a while since I have posted - a lot has happened. My Aunty Carmel (mums sister) passed away last week, mum was in Melbourne to be with her sister while she was on life support in Hospital, surrounded by many of her family and close friends. Thank you to Joy for naming her in their pray list, and everyone who sent their support and love to our family at this sad time.
Allen and Angie have moved to Germany with their little girl Ashlyn and all arived safe and sound. We are anxious to hear how life will pan out for them in their new country!
I have settled in well to my new role as Information Manager for the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program, and am enjoying the challenge of the new role.
Brad is busy with projects at work, and with caring for our son who is currently teething. Need I say more?
Mahind has found a special place in Jackson's heart, she is a treasure to our family. Knowing he recieves such good care and love from her enables us to concentrate on building a future. She is very in tune with him and advises me on any issues with him, she even gave me lunch one morning when i commented on how truely amazing her home smelled with her cooking! It was delicious! A persian meat dish with salad and bread.
We have just come home from visiting some new friends as Lachlan (where Brad and I hope to buy a home in a year or so) I know we keep saying in a year or so but we really think we can make it this time! My cousin Justin is helping with some financial advice (stop spending money christal) so the house hunt is on hold untill we - well basically have some money! anway - we really enjoyed our time with Patrick and Linda and their children, turns out I was in the same ante natal class as Jessica - lindas eldest daughter - small town this Hobart!
We all distinctly remembered the nut case of a midwife who acted out the stages of labour before us on the floor.
I also pickled beetroot last night - we have the GREATEST neighbours who each week give us a heap of fresh veges from their organic garden out near the airport - they fled from Laos and came to Australia years ago, and have a large stall at Salamaca where they sell their produce. anway - we had so many fresh beetroots that I decided to cook up some and pickle them - we'll see how they go!
Love to everyone
