in other news - just got the bill for Maggie's birth - 23,693 dollars - and they don't even pay you the 5000 baby bonus here to have your baby like in OZ - thankfully for our insurance our part was only a total of 250 dollars. 200 of which we already paid upfront. Can anyone say socialized medicine please USA!

happy baby
The past couple of days have been shit.
Two trips to the dentist - one for Brad who had a tooth ache and one for me to find out I have gum disease - lovely - followed by a meltdown at the mall (Jackson) - well actually you could say Brad and I also had our own meltdowns.
Jackson you will listen to your Dad and me - you will not have tantrums, and yes - just as I facebooked the other day - we have taken away all your toys - your imagination remains intact, and we have been super impressed with how little you require to still be a butt hole - who we love dearly and admire, its just that we are so done with you not listening to our reasonable requests - "do not smash the lamp with the hammer" "do not kill the fish". All is not lost - we kept all your outdoor toys - and now you love to play make believe outside which is super fun to watch.
So to continue ...... next day - another trip to the dentist for two root canals for Brad - being the super efficiant mother i am I figured I could return some things and play at the outdoor mall park with J and pick Brad up with everyone in a happy mood. Until i got to the outdoor mall and was nursing Maggie when J jumped off an ottoman and fell head first onto the slate fireplace surround - all I saw was a gaping hole in his head and skull - followed quickly by spurting blood. As it was early no one was in the mall eatery to help - I of course screamed for help and a cleaning lady called security - who wanted to fill out an incident report as my son bleed to death - well not quite but there was a LOT of blood. So the next few hours we were at the ER - we waited forever as aparently the bandaid the security team put on his head covered up the fact that he had skull exposed - plus he seemed to not be bothered by it either and was just interested in the skittles in the vending machine. When removed the nursing staff suddenly got all excited and preceded to fuss over him and me. It is interesting to see your son's skull - but once is enough for me thanks Jackson.
