O.k so its been too long since my last post, feel slightly guilty for not keeping everyone in the loop but am happy to have had some sleep over this weekend. For the past 3 months Jackson has slept great - from around 6 :30 till 6 in the morning - all this time he has had BAD spit up. I went to my midwife, Kay, and my Doctor, Mira, who both said the same thing - i am overfeeding my baby. His poor tummy never got a rest and so he kept vomiting. so we cut back - for the past two weeks he has NOT SLEPT like he used too!!!! Every night we are up at least 3 times to a screaming baby! - I end up feeding him, hey I know when my bubba boo is hungry! some mornings his tummy is growling louder than mine! so we discover through my baby bible "on becoming baby wise" that he is probably having a growth spurt at this age - so we have increased the amount of TIMES he is feed rather than the AMOUNT in the feed, i have also started feeding him carrot and rice puree of an evening which he loves. So so much for reducing his feeds!!! But to my midwife and doctors credit he has stopped vomiting and spitting up so he can now wear an outfit all day without a bib!!! This is a major breakthrough!!!
Also he had his 4 month immunizations on Friday - Brad took him, and they both looked terrible when they arrived home - I think Brad needed more consoling than Jackson - Jackson had a reaction and was upset, fevered, with a rash at the injection site - today he has a whimpering cry consistent with general aches and pains - so we have kept up the pain relief and he is now fast asleep. when bubba boo isn't feeling well he snuggles on me and is very quiet - he is usually a very big talker.
No one will believe this but the biggest milestone is Jackson talking a lot - he says dad da - i know no one believes this but it is true - whenever Brad says "say dad da" he says it!
O.k so that is all the news on Jackson's little world - as for Brad and me - well we are both so busy with work we havn't had time to notice anything besides all of the above. I read Angie's blog as often as I can - so if your reading this Angie i think the blue is a refreshing colour and I wouldn't try to match it in with accent rugs/cushions - i would let it be separate - as I get overwhelmed when everything in the one room starts to look the same colour - it all blends too well and there is little excitement to the room. I would go with a large thick clear coffee table and a Persian rug, your paintings on the wall will then tie everything in together just perfectly! o.k thats my take on it.

Oh no! Bad sleep. I know that is never fun. I'm glad to hear that you have figured the problem out.
Thanks for the advice on the living room. We are definitely going with a persian rug, since Allen brought home several!
I've always heard that parents know best and it looks like that holds true in this case. Glad you and Brad figured out Jack's problem and solved it without starving the poor boy.
And that's why Mommies should run the world! I'm glad Jack's feeling better & hope your sleep routine comes back quickly, for all of your sakes!
So good to talk with you two the other night! Hope Jackson is getting back to some good nights sleep for everyone's sake. Love your blog!
Happy Birthday Number One - and yes I heard it - Jackson saying DADDA - sounding very Southern easy on the ear USA!! Thought my old heart was through fluttering!!
Just want to drop a note here to let you know I am reading your blog...the parenting team of Brad and Christal are doing great as I and I'm sure everybody else knew that you would! I miss all of you very much! I'm starting to talk to Grandma about our coming to see you again even though it may be awhile... I keep going back to look at the pictures that you post here so please keep that up. Love, B/D/P
